Cinecita - La mirada de ella
The cinematic journey of CineCita embarked from the pacific coast of Ecuador, passed through the deserts of Peru, up to the highlands of lake Titicaca, and further into Bolivia. On the three-month trip the international team held film screenings and gave workshops on documentary film making in remote villages in the Andes. The principle goal of CineCita was to democratize the use of audiovisual media and make it accessible to different sectors of society. The project was organized by Moviemiento e. V.. It is an NGO based in Berlin.
It was a pleasure to participate as a part of the team and I am thankful that I had the possibility to offer videoworkshops to girls and young women to empower female roles.

CineCita ist ein Wanderkinoprojekt, das 2010 an der Pazifikküste Ecuadors beginnt und über die Wüsten Perus, hinauf zum Hochland des Titicacasees und weiter nach Bolivien führt. Während der dreimonatigen Reise veranstaltete das internationale Team Filmvorführungen und gab Dokumentarfilmworkshops in abgelegenen Dörfern der Anden. Das Hauptziel von CineCita bestand darin, Mädchen und junge Frauen indigener Herkunft zu ermutigen, selbst dokumentarische Kurzfilme zu erstellen und damit Medienkompetenz zu erlangen. Das Projekt wurde von Moviemiento e. V. organisiert. Als Vertreterin der Globalen Medienwerkstatt e. V. konnte ich Teil des CineCita Teams werden und dadurch wertvolle und außergewöhnliche Erfahrungen sammeln.
